COVID-19 & CPR Classes
I am working on adding May/June dates to my calender this weekend....please check back next week.
I will be following the recommendations of the CDC for classroom etiquette:
I will only be able to have 6 in class at a time in order to maintain a social distance of 6 ft. between students.
Everyone will be required to wash their hands upon arrival at class.
Masks will be required, please bring yours along to class. If you don't have a mask, and if my order comes in, you can purchase one for $2 at class.
Everyone will have their own manikin during the class. Manikins are fully sanitized between classes.
We will not practice mouth to mouth on the manikins, but will practice with a mask. Every student will have their own mask and their own individually wrapped disposable mouthpiece during the class.
We will not be practicing any 2 rescuer scenarios.
Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer will be provided.
Please DO NOT attend class if:
*You have been in contact with someone that has had the coronavirus within the past 14 days.
*If you or anyone you have been in contact have ANY of the symptoms of Covid19:
Symptoms of COVID-19 include cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, or at least two of the following symptoms: chills, shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and loss of taste or smell. Symptoms can range from mild to severe and may appear up to two weeks after exposure to the virus, according to the CDC.
I will offer full refunds or the ability to reschedule at any time during this pandemic.
Interim Guidance on Extensions for AHA Provider Cards during COVID-19 Outbreak:
The AHA recommends that employers and regulatory bodies consider extending recognition of an AHA Provider Card beyond its renewal date, for up to 120 days. However, please know that it is ultimately up to the discretion of employers and regulatory bodies who require current AHA Provider Cards to consider allowing extensions during this time.
The AHA recommends considering extensions for up to 120 days, but this recommendation could be extended based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat.
Please note: Indiana extends the CPR certifications and expiring teacher licenses for teachers to September 1, 2020 (April 2, 2020 Announcement).
